SCDPS REPORTS FOUR KILLED ON SOUTH CAROLINA ROADS
JULY 10 – JULY 12, 2015

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of four persons killed on South Carolina roadways from Friday, July 10, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, July 12, at midnight.

As of July 12, 467 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 405 highway deaths during the same time period in 2014.


Of the 323 motor vehicle occupants who have died in 2015, 159 were not wearing seat belts. 


Through midnight July 12, 53 pedestrians have died compared to 46 in 2014; 61 motorcyclists have died compared to 46 in 2014; and 8 bicyclists have died compared to 6 in 2014 on state roads and highways.
