SCDPS REPORTS FIVE KILLED ON SOUTH CAROLINA ROADS
NOVEMBER 6 – NOVEMBER 8, 2015

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of five persons killed on South Carolina roadways from Friday, November 6, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, November 8, at midnight.

As of November 8, 807 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 697 highway deaths during the same time period in 2014.


Of the 533 motor vehicle occupants who have died in 2015, 273 were not wearing seat belts.


Through midnight November 8, 97 pedestrians have died compared to 89 in 2014; 119 motorcyclists have died compared to 83 in 2014; and 13 bicyclists have died compared to 13 in 2014 on state roads and highways.
