SCDPS REPORTS FIVE KILLED ON SOUTH CAROLINA ROADS
NOVEMBER 20 – NOVEMBER 22, 2015

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of five persons killed on South Carolina roadways from Friday, November 20, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, November 22, at midnight.

As of November 22, 847 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 716 highway deaths during the same time period in 2014.


Of the 563 motor vehicle occupants who have died in 2015, 286 were not wearing seat belts. 


Through midnight November 22, 102 pedestrians have died compared to 92 in 2014; 121 motorcyclists have died compared to 83 in 2014; and 13 bicyclists have died compared to 13 in 2014 on state roads and highways.
